Hebrews 12:24
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things that that of Abel.

This blood does two major things
1. It speaks to God on behalf of we sinners, it plead not for vengeance in respect to that of Abel but for Mercy.
2. To Us sinners it speaks pardon to our sins, peace to our souls, speaks obedience and love to us.

From previous studies, we did identify the need of a redeemer and a middle man that can give us access to God directly.
This verse of the bible makes it clear to us, that the bridge between us and God is Jesus Christ.

~ The gospel covenant is a new covenant, it is different from the covenant of works; and it is now under the new dispensation, distinct from the old covenant.
Remember Ephesians 2:8-9. It is by Grace we are saved and Not by our Works, it is A Gift From God.
~ Christ is the mediator of the new covenant; He is the middle person that goes between both parties, God and man, to bring them together in this covenant, to keep them together not withstanding the sins of the people. And to offer up our prayers to God and to bring down the favours of God to us.
To plead with God for us, to bring God back to His original plans for us.
~ This covenant is ratified by the blood of Christ sprinkled upon, as the blood of the sacrifice was sprinkled upon the alter. This blood of Christ purifies us.
~ This blood speaks better things than that of Abel.

From a simple definition we know a mediator is a person, that stands between two or more people. Like a middle man, like an ambassador.

The Benefits of the Mediator.

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

The death of Jesus Christ established a better communication and relationship with us as humans and with God our creator. Been our high priest and mediator for a better life and covenant we have countless and endless benefit if only we can embrace Him and let Him take the wheel of our lives.

– He broke the Wall of Partition.
Ephesians 2:14.
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us.
It means Christ Jesus broke down the high wall, that fence, those laws that were separating the Jews and the Gentiles, that wall of guilt, shame, fear of getting closer to God. Christ gave us direct access to our father in Heaven. Christ abolished the laws, ordinances, and rituals of the old, providing a new covenant for humanity where everybody have equal chance and right.

– Redeemed us from the Curse of the Law.
Galatians 3:13-14
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Christ bought us back for the curse of the law, we are no longer bondage to it, we won’t bear the pain and face the punishment of our sins no more.
He was made an atonement for sin was consider as bearing the punishment due to sin. If sin, sickness, pain, sufferings, death and all the effect of sin were a part of the curse and the result of it. Christ atoned for them all and removed them from our lives.
Christ allowed us to get the blessings of Abraham and the promise of the Holy Spirit. We can only get this through Faith in God and believing in Jesus as our Lord and personal Saviour.

– Blotted out the Hand Writing of Ordinances.
Colossians 2:14-15
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
The laws that were written was against us, He blotted them away with His blood. And it had no further claim to hold us in sin nor bondage as they could have done by the mean of the law.
We are no more under it cursed and penalty. He took it out of our way, so we don’t have to stumble on it anymore.
This also makes us have no more excuse to live in sin because we are no more under the law but under grace. Romans 6:14-15.

-Delivered us from the Powers of Darkness.
Colossians 1:13-14.
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
He had freed us from satan and his power and kingdom of sin, sickness and lots more. He placed us under a new government of light and peace. He could only do this through His precious blood that was shed for us.

Finally the mediator gave us boldness to enter into the Holiest by His precious blood. Hebrews 10:19.

We have daily full access to heave at our disposal, we can talk to God when ever we want and ask anything in accordance to His words and to His glory, asking in the name of Jesus, we will have it.
The Power of the Mediator lies in His Blood. Hebrews 9:11-28 and His death on the Cross. The old covenant was faulty, man needed a sacrifice once and for all that will cleanse us all from our sins. Those of bulls and animals couldn’t get us this far.
– The Devil wrote his WILL (Testament):
Wanted us to suffer, have sicknesses, problems, lack of peace, death. But since he did not die for Man Kind, that Will is of no effect, because ” Without the Death of the Testator, the Testament (Will) is of No Effect and Invalid.
– Christ Jesus came into the scene and offered us Hope, new life, new beginning, forgiveness of our sins, grace, love, fellowship, and in all reconciling us back to our Father , our First Love, Like in the days of Adam before the fall.
He did this going to the Cross to die for our sins, He paid the debts he did not Owe with His own blood.
Because the Bible says without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin.
Now we are Free!!! Only if we work according to His Purpose and Plan for our Lives.
I encourage us this day to embrace God and His plans of redemption He Has made provision for.
God Bless.
