THE STILL SMALL VOICE!

THE STILL SMALL VOICE! What is a voice? A voice can be: articulation, call, intonation, murmur, shout, sound, song, speech, utterance, vent, vocalisation, vociferation and lot more examples. In this discussion we will be looking at Voice as the act of HEARING. One of the basis of Christianity is the ability to HEAR. When God called Samuel in the Bible, it took Samuel time to understand the voice that was calling his name. Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord saying ” Who shall I send and Who shall God for Me?”. This means God wants to speak to His children, He wants us to Hear from Him. The first step of hearing the Voice of God is by Preparation. We will be looking at two powerful servants of God in the Bible, they actually represent two of the three parts of the Bible. ( THE LAW, THE PROPHETS AND THE SAVIOUR!). The law represents Moses, the prophet represent Elijah and the saviour is our Lord Jesus Christ. 1. MOSES “Being Sensitive To The Move Of Change” When God called Moses from the burning bush, he heard a Voice! The Bible says ” God communed with Him face to face, he could hear God clearly. He delivered the Israelites from slavery. The children of Israel murmured because of lack of water and Moses cried unto God and God told him STRIKE (smite) THE ROCK and water actually came out for […]

THE REAL YOU

You are more than the body that you see. You are more than the case that houses your senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste and senses). Inside you, there’s something, actually, someone much more than your body. The inner man is the one the Bible refers to in 1 Peter 3:4 “But let it be that the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit…” When a man’s body dies, his spirit lives on. He is still as much the human person he was before he died; he hasn’t lost anything except that he has lost the ability to function in the physical world. His body may be dead but the real person, the spirit man, still has the consciousness he had before he died. Jesus Christ told a story in Luke 16:19-31 about two men who died. One was a beggar named Lazarus. The point is not that he was a beggar, but though he was poor, he had a righteous heart. When he died he was taken to Abraham’s bosom. The second man also died, though rich in the world, he had not lived a righteous life so when he died he wasn’t found in Abraham’s bosom. Note that when he died, his body was buried on earth, but Jesus said that in hell, this rich man lifted up his eyes and saw Lazarus in Abraham’s bosom […]

TREASURES IN EARTHEN VESSELS PART 2: ” Pressing On Despite The Hardship “

In the part one series we spoke about seeing the future from the present situation. This time we are looking on how we are to press on despite the hard-times and hardships. Taking our text from 2 Corinthians 4:13-18 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. In life you will face hard times, you will pass through the fire, afflictions will arise, adversity will knock at your door someday! it’s guaranteed. Proverbs 24:10, Isaiah 43:2. Our focus is,” what and how are we going to scale through and press forward?” Bro Paul in […]

TREASURES IN EARTHEN VESSELS PART 1: ” Seeing the future from the present situations “

The tortures of Christians by other religions or by certain groups did not start today. If you read books like ” Foxes Book Of Martyrs” or ” Tortured For Christ” you will agree with me that it has started since the beginning of the creature. Even the bible recorded detailed sufferings of the apostles after the death of our Lord. The amazing thing about the Bible and Christianity is that, it is still standing through the test of time. Every true believer of God will face persecution at on point in time or the other. Off course it differs, but how we overcome is a proof of how well we have been preparing and how strong is our faith in God. Isis is committing their own atrocities all in the name of religion. Despite all, some Christians in Iraq and Syria still refuses to let go of Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!!! It makes me understand Phil 1:21 when Bro Paul said ” For to me to live is Christ and to die is Gain!!” Wow I have come to a point in my walk with God, that if He likes let Him bless me, if He likes let Him not bless me, but No Turning Back… ” The World behind me, The Cross Before Me!” I’ve come this far by Faith!! Trust me, HE HAS NEVER FAILED ME!!! O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man […]

THE VALLEY OF SOREK. Judges 16:4

Judges 16:4. And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. We all know the story of the man called Samson in the Bible and the woman called Delilah. In this contest I will be talking about we Humans as Samson and the Sins we commit as Delilah. For us to understand this story and message, we first need to understand who Samson was. To cut the story short; Samson was the 14th Judge of Israel and he judged Israel for 20 years. Judges 13; 14; 15 & 16 tells us about Samson & Numbers 6 tells us about the life and rules of a nazarite. Samson was a man of miraculous birth. Just like every man born of a woman. We are all destined for greatness. Samson came in a time when Israel needed a savior. He was their hope and joy. God specifically gave his father and mother specific and detailed instructions, on how he will live his life, his dos and don’t. There were 5 commandments to the mum & dad. 1. To his Mum, make sure you drink no wine nor strong drink. Judges 13:4,7,14. 2. Eat no unclean thing. 3. No razor shall come upon his head. vs 5 4. Don’t not eat anything that comes from the vine. vs 14. 5. His father must make sure his wife ( Samson’s mother) follows […]
