WHO REALLY ARE YOU?

a8145135-2841-4187-bc30-5237dc26f690

Who are you? I just asked a very simple and easy question, but the answer is very difficult to get.Let us go to the bible, am sure we will be able to answer this simple question by the time God is done speaking to us.

Let me refresh your minds.

After the fall of man, it took 42 generations to have the once close relationship and fellowship man use to have with God. Jesus came and reconcile man back to God. But before that time there was a period known as the time of silence.

BibleTimeline

From the time in creation, God usually spoke through messengers (prophets, high priests, seers etc.) and at the end of the old testament which is the book Malachi, God did not speak anymore for the next 400 years. It was a time when no one knew anything nor heard anything. It was a time of the total blackout.

John the Baptist came into the scene. He is known as the forerunner of Jesus Christ.

This is where we are heading! In the gospel of John chapter one, the people asked john a very simple question, “ Who Are you?”

John 1:19. And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

The question of Identity

2012-12-12_deCode_Fotolia_pad

Who really are we? Let us be real, do you really have an idea of who you really are? Do you understand the kind of destiny you have? Do you have an idea of the life you are supposed to be living? Do you understand the career you should be pursuing? Who really are You?

The day you are able to answer this simple question, your life will never remain the same again. People are living in this world without identity, they have no purpose, no mission, no vision, no goal, no life! This is so sad.

When you fail to know who you really are, you are automatically a failure.

When you have answered the question of your identity you are already in the pathway of greatness. Your identity determines the actions and reactions you are taking and making now.

Joseph knew who he was, he couldn’t trade his God-given vision for the pleasure of sex; Ruth understood that her identity was found in Naomi, and she will lead her to her Boaz. She just couldn’t let go of Nomi, Oprah did not understand this. Joshua knew he was meant to be a leader; he stayed focused, paying close attention to his identity. David understood his identity, he knew he was meant to me a king. He acted towards that path of kingship. The prodigal son got back to his senses and discovered his identity; he just couldn’t continue living with pigs and eat the same meal prepared for pigs. He went back home, back to his roots.

When you really know who you are, my friend you can’t waste your life in worldly things and with things that will not benefit your life. Never! You will not continue to dwell in all kinds of sins; you will definitely flee from all forms of sin.

The day you really understand who you really are, you will not play with your destiny on the altar of pleasure.

God is searching for people that understand who they really are so He can fill them with His raw power and fire.

John the Baptist knew his identity; he could answer the simple question.

John 1:20-21.

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

I am not the Christ! Very simple and straight forward answer. He refused to take the wrong identity. Remember the people asking him these questions, they knew the bible. They were expecting Jesus. Notice that john the Baptist refused to fit into the shoes of Jesus. He refused to bear the wrong name, nor take the fake identity. John the Baptist chose to accept who he was.

They asked him again in verse 21.

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No

He said a big NO! Elijah was a man known for the demonstration/manifestation of the power of God. The people felt John was Elijah. John the Baptist chose to remain where God Has called him to be and to do the assignment God Has given him.

In verse 22 the people finally reveal who they really were and said

“Then said they unto him, Who art thou? That we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?”

This makes us understand that people are waiting to know and understand who we really are the devil is on a mission to find out. Because the day they understand us, that day they are able to predict us.

In verse 23 the real John the Baptist was revealed.

He said I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

john1-23-1024x576

He gave his answer in the words of the scriptures to show that the scripture was fulfilled in him. He answered this simple question in a very humble, modest, self-denying expression.

His identity, goal, vision and mission were to gather the people in preparation for our lord Jesus Christ.

When you know and truly understand your identity, you will overcome the spirit of destiny misplacement, you overcome the spirit of lust and pride. John the Baptist was mistaken to be the Messiah, he did not connive at it; never! He refused to dwell in the office where he did not belong.

Many people, who don’t know their identity or have lost it, tend to make this great mistake. They fit in the wrong place in life. It is a big mistake when a doctor is fitting into the position of a tailor….

Your identity is what makes you different and unique from others, it differentiates you, makes you outstanding, and in all successful. If the difference in a man is spotted out, being positive or negative, it is because there’s something unique or outstanding about him and this is what makes him different from other people.

You must study what makes you positively unique (differences) and not your weakness, this will help you get closer to your assignment.

Your success in life is your identity and it is strictly related to what makes you stand out from the multitude.

When you understand your identity life becomes simple, you are able to answer these three questions, which are:

  1. Who are You? This solves your IDENTITY! John the Baptist knew who he was. When they asked him Who are You? He could answer! He said, “I AM THE VOICE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS!” This is it. John 1:19-25.
  1. Why are you Here? This solves your PURPOSE! Your assignment is found in your purpose. This influences your decisions and approaches towards life.
  1. How Shall I Be? This solves how you FUNCTION AND HOW YOU OPERATE! It directs you to your destiny with ease!

Finally!! Answers to the questions will narrow down your life to a simple one. You actually remove from your life, Confusion, Frustration, Stress, and Anxiety & Worry. Leading you to a successful life and great achievements in life.

Some People are Satisfied with it, if it good; Some want it Better. The Best is only Good Enough For Me!!!!🙌👏💒💎
God bless,

THE PROMISES OF A NEW BEGINNING

new-beginnings_t_nv

There come a time when a new page is needed to be open, a time when a fresh start is required. A time where decisions are on the crossroad.

The new beginning is an era of new walk with Christ Jesus, an era where carnality is nailed to the cross of Christ Jesus. The new beginning is an initial and crucial stage of a closer walk with God, a time where a solid foundation is needed for a new start. The new beginning is a fresh start where by the old foundation cannot carry the new structures and standards of God.

The new beginning is a time and season where by you forget the past: past failures, trials, defeats, problems, guilt, bondage, and calamities. And you look only unto Jesus. Hebrews 12:1-2.

New beginning is an era where credibility and honesty becomes maximum priority. A time where No is No and Yes is Yes! It’s a time when purity and holiness is no more an option, but a Divine mandate.

Promises attached to the New Beginning

Bl0__iRIUAIx0-b.jpg-large

  1. The former things are by gone.

Isaiah 42:9:

Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

God is assuring us that old things are by gone. We cannot put a new wine into an old one it will sour it. A new start, prize, goal, and target are needed now.

God is promising to do new and great things in the new beginning. Better covenant, better start than we have had in times past.

Isaiah 43:18-19:

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God is promising to do greater things than He has done before. God is saying forget the former things, better days are ahead.

God will do a new thing it shall spring forth. Do you get the revelation here?

Spring Forth: This means for a new thing to happen, there must be the Planting of the Lord. Isaiah 61:3b: a time where God is going to plant new things, the seed of: greatness, prosperity, purity, righteousness, holiness, success and lots more.

God is promising to make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. God is promising us, if only we can fully trust Him. God is guaranteeing us that in the new start, He will be our Shepard and we will not lack anything good. He will be our provider. Psalm 23.

  1. The promises of Mercies and Unfailing Love.

Isaiah 43:25:

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

God is assuring us that the new start comes with total pardon. He said He has blotted out our sins. This implies the devil can no longer accuse us. The devil has no say over our lives because God Has forgiven us all.

The blood of Jesus washes us as white as snow. It cries for mercy, it speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:24b.

God is saying, “ He will not remember our sins” our past is forgotten.

Don’t get me wrong!!!

“ Wrong doing is never right, and sin has it payday. Trust me, it is not a good payday.” But grace will find and locate us; it will help us deal with the consequences.

  1. There is complete Redemption with the New Beginning.

Isaiah 44:22:

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

Our transgression and sins are as a cloud, a thick cloud. They interpose and separate us form God. But God is still assuring us that with the decision for a new beginning, He will take away this thick cloud, this burden so we can have a better fellowship with Him.

To have a new start we only need to perform these three things

928724_854888511231689_2071300305_n

  • Walk on the High Way of Holiness: Isaiah 35:8.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

This is the way of Godliness, the way of Holy worship, Holy conversation and most importantly: Holy living.

The way of holiness carries righteous duties in which we ought to walk and press forward with our eyes focus on Jesus, which is our ultimate goal as Christians.

  • Walk on the Old Path, the Good Old Way: Jeremiah 6:16.

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said; We will not walk therein.

This is the good old way, the old time religion. We have an Unchanging God in a Changing World. His Words, Rules and Standards remain the same!

We need to follow God and obey Him fully to benefit from this new start. It might look very difficult but it is very possible.

God wants to have a new covenant with us. Not the old ones, He wants to be our God and We His people. He wants His laws to be on the table of our hearts written there. He wants us to practice the true religion of truth and holiness.

  • Sow in Righteousness and Reap Mercy: Hosea 10:12.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

When you sow in righteousness, you will reap mercy. God wants us to break that fallow/harden ground of sin and worldly pleasures. We need to cleanse our heart from all unfruitful affections and lust, which are as weed and be of a broken and contrite spirit.

Finally,

  • We need to be wise and very vigilant in the journey of the new beginning. We should sow a seed of holy and righteous living. We need to return to the practice of good works according to the law of God. Lets feed our faith, so our flesh can starve and loose its grip over us: Galatians 5:16.
  • Every action is a seed sown let us sow in righteousness. Let us sow what we ought to sow (Holiness and Righteous living). Let us do what we ought to do and we shall have the benefits of it.
  • To get the full benefits of the new beginning, we need to seek God and grace to press on. “ For by strength shall no man prevail.” We can’t run this race on our own, but His grace is very sufficient for us.
  • It is time for us to seek and look for God; if we do our part, He will do His. If we sow to ourselves in righteousness, if we be willing and obedient, if we be diligent and careful to do our rightful duties in dependence upon His Grace: Then He will shower down His Grace upon us and will rain Righteousness upon us. Righteousness is what we need to practice, for by the grace of God we are what we are.

Remember: 2Corinthians 7:1.Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

We have these promises but we have to cleanse ourselves from all dirt’s of the Flesh and Spirit. WE MUST PRACTICE HOLINESS IN THE FEAR OF GOD.

God bless. Pst Zino

THE VICTORIOUS LIFE

ManWorshippingGod

A victorious life is a life worth living. Many people find it hard to attain this kind of life. Despite books, messages, mentors and uncountable means of enlightenment, a man still fails to attain the victorious life.

On of the reasons why humans fail is because we lack focus and priority. I have met lots of people who don’t understand why they were born; they don’t even know their purpose.

When you have a purpose in life, which is your scope; objectives; motives, you will be focused on fulfilling it. Your mind is fixed on it. Philippians 2:5-11 tells us about Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour how fixed and focused He was to His mission of coming to earth. He refused to allow distraction and temptation to take Him away from His original plan.

To be victorious there are certain things we should focus on and give our maximum attention to, these things are God, Destiny Career, and Marriage. Noticed I followed a particular pattern. Isaiah 28:10. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. When you know God, you are going to understand your Destiny. When you understand the kind of destiny you have and you are supposed to fulfill, then you are going to make the right Career. When you have understood these three things, trust me your Marriage will be directed in the right path.

God comes first because when you truly focus on God, He leads you and makes you achieve the other three (Destiny, Career, and Marriage).

Focus makes you plan ahead, Men fail because of broken focus. Focus makes you see what you need to see only and at the right time. Focus is like a glue: it keeps you intact and fixed to want you have made up your mind to do. There is no achievement in life, that focus is not 100% needed.

Where your Focus is, there lies your heart and mind.

If a man focus is diverted, the destiny of that man as well is diverted.

The two major rules to a victorious life are to PLAN AHEAD & FOCUS:

P: Predetermine your course of action.

L: Lay out your goals.

A: Adjust your priorities. (This is very important: First things first).

N: Notify key Personal.

 A: Allow time for acceptance.

H: Head into action.

E: Expect problems

A: Always point to your success.

D: Daily review your progress.

F: Fight to the end.

O: Opposition will come.

C: Consistent despite all.

U: Unique victory.

S: Stable ending.

To live the victorious there are rules to follow.

111

  • Make obedience your first priorities Psalm 119:9-11.
  • Never wait to see what the people around you want to do, hurry up and do what is right.
  • Makes eternal lasting decisions, not temporarily.
  • Deeply appreciate your past, without worshiping it.
  • Value results in more than image and reputation.
  • Know that to influence others you have to stand out and be a defender of righteousness.
  • Never weaver from your understanding of what is right.
  • Trust in God more than your gifts.
  • Re-enforce your week points.
  • Reassure yourself, refuse to quit.
  • Renew your strength continually.
  • Make glorifying God your ultimate goal.

Finally, you have to live ahead of your contemporaries: see what others can’t see and do what they don’t want to do. To succeed in this trying times you have to live above your circumstances and look only to Jesus, Hebrews 12:1-2. Live deeper than your calamity and in all; Live beyond your capabilities. Always aim high. Make God your friend, do the right thing. Stand-alone even if no one stands with you. Just make sure you do the right thing in the sight of God.

Refuse to play games with God. Don’t play with your destiny on the altar of pleasure like Samson. Get serious with your salvation.

A life without Christ is Shattered Dreams.

God Bless

STAYING FOCUSED TO SUCCEED.

focus red word and conceptual target

The word FOCUS is probably one of the most used words for people aiming to be successful. Most successful people when interviewed they say one of their key principles to success was FOCUS. What is Focus? An act of concentrating interest or activity on something, the center of interest or activity. The point at which an object must be situated for it to be well defined. Pay particular attention to something. From the Biblical aspect, I define Focus as Priority. Isaiah 2:10. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.

What is Priority? The fact or condition of being regarded or treated as more important than others. When first things come first. Doing something that is regarded as more important than others. Everyone that had great success in the Bible was people that had a purpose and they focused on their goal and vision. God told Joshua that he would have Good Success if only he could Meditate day and night. This meant He needed to Focus on the Laws and Rules of God for Him to be successful. Joshua 1:8. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. This verse is telling us that there are two kinds of success. Normal Success and A GOOD SUCCESS. When your meditate you focus your attention on that thing. “Your Engagements To The Laws Of God; Will Make You A Lord In What Ever You Do!” There is a man in the Bible called Elisha; this man is the definition of Focus. Elisha was the servant of Elijah. Elijah was a prophet during the era of king Ahab and queen Jezebel of Israel. After prophet, Elijah had finished disgracing the prophets of Baal in Mount Carmel and slew 450 of them in 1Kings 18. In chapter 19, king Ahab told his wife Jezebel what had happened. Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah and promised to kill him within 24 hours. Wel, the great the prophet was scared and he fled for his life. He asked God to take his life, and God told him to anoint two kings and also Anoint Elisha as a prophet in his stead.

6253.elizej_12 Elijah met Elisha plowing with twelve yolks of oxen in the field. He passed by him and cast his mantle upon him, immediately Elisha ran after him and said; “ Let me I pray thee, kiss my father & mother, and then I will follow you.” Something strange happened in verse 20! Elisha took a yolk of oxen and slew them, and prepared a meal with the INSTRUMENTS OF THE OXEN, and gave them to his people. They ate and he arose and went after Elijah to minister unto him.Elisha actually burned everything that will make him go back to the past. He needed maximum concentration to be able to serve his master. He destroyed the bridged that will make him go back to the old self. When the time came for Elijah to be taken up into heaven in 2Kings 2, Elisha knew about it, the sons of the prophets knew about it as well. “ In the Path of Greatness, you can’t hide your Potentials. You can only protect it with prayer and staying Diligent.” At this point in the life of Elisha, distraction arose from even corner, he was cast down, perplex, troubled on every side but Elisha Discouraged his Discouragements. Elisha followed his master from Gilgal-Bethel-Jericho-Jordan. At each point in time, Elijah told Elisha to wait in Bethel, Jericho and Jordan. Note that Elisha was focused on his goal, he knew what he wanted: The Double Portion Anointing; he did not allow the distractions around him to stop rom achieving his goal. Elisha told Elijah his master, “ As The Lord Lives & As Your Soul Lives; I Will Not Let Thee Go!” Distraction is the enemy of focus it can come from anybody!!! The sons of the prophets, the messengers of God, they were the available tools that the devil used to try and distract Elisha. They met him at Bethel and Jericho and asked him: “ Know that the lord will take away your master from you today? His response was so perfect, I know; I’m Aware But HOLD YOUR PEACE, BE STILL DON’T SPEAK OF IT!!” Elisha was a focus, he wasn’t ready for side talks and distractions of gossips, who said this and who said that. The double portion of the anointing was his goal. He did not allow the pain of loosing his master to overshadow his objectives. He knew what he wanted and walked towards it. When they arrived in Jordan, Elijah asked Elisha for the third time to wait here in Jordan but Elisha refused. Now the sons of the prophets stood afar and saw how Elijah used his mantle to path the river Jordan and they both passed through dry land. Elisha was focused be he knew that he will have to cross the same Jordan river to get back to his destination. After crossing Jordan, all the distracting forces and element could not do anymore harm to Elisha, they could watch from afar but they could not distract him anymore. Elisha had passed a major test. The double portion anointing was sure. “ There is a particular bridge you must cross, it is the bridge of maximum concentration in whatever you are doing. Once you cross this bridge, the spirit of distraction is not able conquer you anymore.” Elijah had to come to terms with his servant Elisha. He asked Elisha, What is it that I can do for you before am taken up into heaven? Immediately, Elisha asked for what he has been longing for, “ The Double Portion Anointing.” There was a condition; this condition had already been met before. The condition was; “ If you see me when am being taken away from you!” Well Elisha was not blind, they have crossed Jordan together. They started the journey from Gilgal-Bethel-Jericho-Jordan Elisha was focused. Prophet Elijah was taken up and his Mantle fell, Elisha cried with a loud voice.“ My father my father the chariot of Israel and the horsemen.” Elisha picked up the mantle and went straight to the Jordan River. Now Jordan River became an obstacle and Elisha must overcome this obstacle.“ For every new level you attain in life, you will surely meet a new devil.” He used the mantle and smote the waters of Jordan and said; “ Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” The waters of the Jordan River pathways for him to walk on dry land. After crossing Jordan coming back with the mantle of Elijah with him. The same sons of the prophets that were distracting him, those unfriendly friends, they were the first to testify of the Anointing upon his life. They said; “ The Spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha.” They came and Bowed themselves to the ground before him and asked him to heal the waters of Jericho. 31118_000_038_05 Now this is deep! (Remember in Joshua 6:26, Joshua placed a curse on the land). Until you prove to the world and attain certain height in life, no one is going to regard you. You have to stay focus to get the best. To be the best God has destined you to be, you have to give maximum attention to your dreams, your goals, your objectives and your destiny. When you fulfil destiny according to God’s standard, those that wrote you off, that said you will never amount to anything good and that you will never make it will be the first set of people that will ask you for solutions and help to their own problems. You don’t need money to stay focus, you only need your mind, make up your heart and decide you will not be distracted by the distractions around you.?????????

Why should you stay focused? The only answer to this question lies in 1 Corinthians 16:9. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. We want to defeat the problems at the edge of breakthrough. There is a great door of blessings, promotions the devil will not just fold his hands and let you have them, you must beat him at his own game. You must be wise and vigilant to his devices. A simple breakthrough will change your story and history. Before every breakthrough, there’s a harder battle to fight, one of the key weapon for victory during this battle is Focus. Total concentration gives an edge towards victory in the battles of life. Every man destined to be great have a battle to win against the spirit of distraction. “At the edge/peak of your breakthrough, the devil becomes real to you.” You need total concentration to defeat the spirit of almost there, which is the spirit of Mouth Pisgah, which is the spirit of almost there. (I will blog on that someday!), the near success syndrome. Just like Elisha, Joshua Caleb, David, Joseph, Ruth, and Esther. These great men and women of God were focused people. God is not going to use a man that is easily distracted. Forget the past and press one for the price for greatness, there is a race to run, a price to win, a crown at the close of the day. You can’t afford to loose concentration. Let the glory of your future/tomorrow be the fuel that will propel you during these hard times, better days are ahead you just need to be consistent in the good things you are doing. I encourage you to have a target, aim at it, and never look back. Refuse to be distracted. People can say what ever they feel like. That shouldn’t get to you. “ The opinions of others don’t define you.” Know who you are and what God has placed inside of you. Pursue your dreams, Shoot for the Moon; if you don’t get there, at least you will land among the Stars.

God bless.

4 STEPS IN DEVELOPING YOUR GOD GIVING GIFTS.

20140701-161943-58783419.jpg
1. Focus on the strengths God gave you. Concentrating on your strengths will help you fulfill the calling God has put on your life.

2. Exercise your gift. Find something you like to do and that you do well, and do it over and over again. Want to know what will happen? You will feel better about yourself because you won’t be constantly failing.

3. Have the courage to be different. Unhappiness comes when you try to be like everyone else rather than embracing the unique person that you are.

4. Learn to cope with criticism. Have enough confidence in who you are in Christ that you can listen to others and be open to change without feeling you have to agree with their viewpoint or attain their approval.

God has planted greatness in you. Let today be the beginning of a great adventure as you step into the gifts He’s given you.

But remember this:
•And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
•And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
•And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
•For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
•But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
•Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 2 Peter 1:5-10
