The Valley Of Restoration. Ezekiel 37:1-14

Can these bones live? Can we actually come back alive from our past and dead self? Can we be totally free from the power of sin? Can the resurrecting power in the Blood of Jesus resurrect us from the grip and power of the grave? Can our dead glory come back alive? Can be breakthrough unto God’s perfect and divine plans for our lives? Can every dry bone in our lives rise again? Only God Knows!

The book of Ezekiel from chapter 36:24-38 was talking about the restoration of the nation Israel. In chapter 37, God gives a vision and symbol of the methods of its accomplishments. Verse 11 of Ezekiel 37 gives us the clue.

• The bones, which are the whole house of Israel, who shall be living and the graves, are the nations where they dwell.

The order of the procedure is

• Bringing the people out. (Vs 12)
• Bringing them in. (vs 12)
• Their conversion. (Vs 13)
• The filling with the spirit. (Vs 14)

Resurrection is very important in our new walk with Christ. It means we are dead to sin; we’ve been crucified with Christ. It means we are no more under the law of sin but of Grace. The law is no more our schoolmaster, our flesh is dead to sin and our inner man has risen with Christ. This entails we are a New Creature.

Note: Romans 6:1-2a “ we cannot continue to live in sin, thinking grace may abound. We should not use the liberty we have as an occasion to glorify and satisfy the flesh.

The Valley of Resurrection is a place where:

• The resurrection of the soul occurs from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, to a holy, heavenly, spiritual and divine life by the power of divine grace going down with the word of Christ. John 5:24-25.

God took prophet Ezekiel to a valley full of dead dry bones and asked him, can these Bones Live? The prophet answered only for answering sake, so it wouldn’t be as if he lacked faith! “Oh Lord Thou Knowest”

“In life there comes a time when the situations and difficulties we are facing challenges our faith and hope in God. Then we are asked simple questions, but the answer becomes very difficult. Not because we don’t believe in God or we have lost faith. It’s simply because the situation seems impossible. But thank God we have a God that specializes in making the impossible to become possible.”

 Let’s observe the particulars of this Vision.

• The Hand of the Lord was upon the Prophet and He carried him to a valley full of dry bones, probably the one of Ezekiel 3:22.

When God asked him if the bones could live vs 3? Is it likely? Can thou devise how it should be done? NO said the prophet, “ I know not how it should be done, but thou knowest Lord.” He didn’t say they couldn’t live, lest it would sound a bit insulting and limiting the power of the Almighty.

Faith and hope are two key ingredients in living a life pleasing to God. We have to trust God no matter how hard and difficult the situation might seem.

• The spoken command word to bring these dry bones back to life. Vs 4-6.

God asked him to prophesy, pray, speak, and issue a command in the name of the Lord. This means using the power of God to speak life.

“ Life and death are in the power of the tongue.”

God is known to speak things to be. Ezekiel prophesying to dry disperses and scattered bones, commanding them to live must have been done only by prophecy. He had to issue a command (preach), he did so and the dead bones lived by a power that went along with the word of God, which he preached.

He must pray, he did so and the dead bones were made to live in answer to the prayer; for a spirit of life entered into them.

Back to us

There are many dead situations in our lives, so many valleys of dry bones. One thing certain and sure, the word of God can bring them back to life.

Isaiah 55:11

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

 Jeremiah 23:29

Is not my word like as a fire? Saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Speak the word of God to every area that needs resurrection in your life. God words are powerful; they have the power to bring the invisible things to visible. His words make the impossible to become possible.

Speak the power of resurrection to every dead area in your life, from sin to lust, to immoralities. It doesn’t matter how bad the situation might seem, the power of resurrection can bring you back on track. God can restore you, don’t give up on yourself. There is hope for a better tomorrow. The grace to needed to bounce back from every unpleasant situation must and only be obtained and sought by prayer.

God grace can save us without our preaching, but our preaching cannot save us without God’s grace. You need His grace to resurrect.

We must faithfully and diligently use the means of grace given to us by faith to speak life into every area of our lives. We have to discharge our trust, we must speak life as we are commanded only in the name of Jesus according to Philippians 2:5-11. Only that name has the key to unlock every dead potential in us. The power in the of Jesus makes us dead to sin, that we may have life and live it abundantly.

Speak life and see life in every situation around and within your life.
