Isaiah 6:8
Also, I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
After King Uzziah died, the prophet Isaiah saw God for the first time.nnection between the Prophet Isaiah and King Uzziah is broken. When Isaiah’s eyes were opened, The terrible co he said in verse 5: Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
Like I said in our previous topic (THE PEOPLE YOU SHOULD MEET AND THE PEOPLE YOU MUST MISS), certain people or groups of people should not be in our lives if we really want to become who God intends us to be.
If God was looking for a man to send in the days of Isaiah, imagine what is happening in our days now. The question is, was Isaiah not a prophet of God? Were there no other prophets during that time who could still stand in the gap? God needed a middleman.
Ezekiel 22:30. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. God said: “But I Found None!”
It doesn’t mean these prophets or servants of God were great sinners or fakes. Though some were, the good ones were not up to the standard God was looking for.
We will look at these four key points as they are systematically ordered.
- After King Uzziah died, Prophet Isaiah saw God. This is strange, but if you study the chronicles of the Kings, you will understand who King Uzziah really was and what he did. Isaiah was a prophet in his time, and King Uzziah was doing the job of a prophet/priest. Many people are occupying the wrong offices in life; people do things they are not supposed to do.
Success in every ramification is all about correct positioning.
To get God into your boat, you must do what He endorses. You cannot be a friend of the devil, and you expect God to speak and empower you for a great mission. Wrong! The view of so many is blocked as if they are working under a closed heave because they operate in the wrong base/place where God will not show up. The spirit of Uzziah is familiar, and until that spirit is terminated in our lives, we won’t be able to achieve what God intends for us.
As soon as the prophet Isaiah saw God, he realized that he was a man with an Unclean Lips Isaiah 6:5. How does the Eye correlate to the Mouth? Why did Isaiah say he’s a man with Unclean Eyes? It is what you see that you are bold enough to speak about.
- An angel brought live coal in his hands from the altar, and laid it upon his mouth saying;
Isaiah 6:7
“See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
The eyes influence a man’s life. What you see all the time becomes a part of you. What you see always has great control over your actions.
Job said, “I made a covenant with my eyes!” Job 31:1.
David said, “Open my eyes so that I may see wonderful things in your law.” Psalm 199:18.
Apostle Paul said, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,”
When your sight is correct, your vision and purpose become outstanding. You see what God wants you to see and understand your mistakes and errors. This narrows you down to a fulfilled life.
- Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord. Do you know why Isaiah could not hear from God all this time? Which with a mouth will he use to answer God? The unclean lips?
If we look at it from this perspective, He saw God, He knew He was Unclean, He asked for Forgiveness, An Angel came and Purified his Lips and atoned for his Sins, and He could now Hear God.
- The final point could only have happened because there was a cascade from verse 1: See God (Have an Encounter with Him); understand and Acknowledge your Sins; be Purified, Purified, and made Whole; finally, have the Father-Son Relationship with God when you can speak with Him and relate to Him.
Knowing God’s mind and plans for your life comes only when you have this unique relationship with Him.

Finally, dearly beloved of God, Isaiah had an encounter with God, which led to many beneficialife. All these happened step after step, meaning our God is God of Order and Precision. According to Isaiah 28:10, Precepts must be upon precept. God is looking for a generation that He can be proud of. I so much believe that we can be that people—that manrl— things in his l and woman, that boy and that githat will boldly stand in the Gap.
Before this can happen, we need to put off the old man and remove that garment stained with sin. Lay aside every weight and sin that we easily fall into.
Prophet Isaiah realised this; his life changed and never remained the same. From chapter 6 to chapter 66 (60 chapters later), Isaiah had wonderful stories and beautiful messages of restoration; he prophesied for generations to come, and he talked about our Savior Jesus Christ. All these events transpired because he had a dealing with God.
We can have this same story; we only need to be available. Let us yield to the call of God and remember these four steps.
His visitation and power; Acknowledging our mistakes and the repenting heart; His purifying power to purge us and make us whole; Hearing His voice and call; Our resounding Yes and boldly professing Him.
God Bless.
