A CROWN OF LIFE THROUGH HIS CROSS

Crowns

After the fall of man, God needed somebody to stand in the gap. He wanted a mediator, a negotiator, someone that will build the broken bridge. He wanted a redeemer to redeem mankind, yet He found none. There is a very interesting and wonderful story found in the New Testament book of Hebrews. When God needed a fresh start with man, like a sort of covenant, a will that will stand the test of time. God wanted to connect back with mankind and to break down the middle wall of partition between man and Himself.

He tried using many people from Abraham, Moses, Samuel, David, Nehemiah, Ezra, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and countless more lived sacrificially warning men of their sins and trying to build the back the broken bridge between men and God. With all these efforts, still, mankind was still lost. After the fall of man, the kind of personal relationship that God had with mankind prior to the fall of man was no more. As a loving father, He wanted that sweet loving relationship back with mankind.

The book of Hebrews in the New Testament tells us of a beautiful and interesting story in Hebrews 9:15-28. The story is about the Testament (Will) and the death of the Testator for the Testament (Will) to become effective.

When God needed a new start with man, He wanted to take away pain, sin, guilt, curse, sufferings, sadness, sickness, grieve and every misfortune that has plagued mankind after the fall of man. However, this Loving Act needed a Testament to be writing and the death of the Testator for it to be fully effective. Recall from Old Testament up to the New Testament, anyone with a unique destiny faced fierce opposition from the devil because the devil himself clearly remembers the words of God saying:

“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15.

The new covenant that God would love to establish with mankind could only be effective through the shedding of a “Precious Blood” to have the remission of sin Hebrews 9:22. In the era of the Old testament, it was the blood of animals yet the middle wall of partition was still between man and God. God wanted man to enter boldly into the Holiest, but only through the precious blood of Jesus.

So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body. Hebrews 10:19 (MSG).

Jesus came as a mediator, a negotiator of a New Covenant. His blood was pure, void of sin, it speaks Mercy towards man. His Testament (WILL) contained every good benefit man can every imagine and to make it effective God sent Him to die for our sins.

John 3:16 (KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He is our testator and the good things He offered through the shedding of His innocent blood I sour testament. This testament automatically came into effect when He died four us and rose from the dead.

We are heirs of the Father
We are joint heirs with the Son
We are children of the kingdom
We are a family we are one.

Oneness and unity came only through Christ Jesus who broke down the middle wall of partition and bridged the gap between us and God. Ephesians 2:14.

Before Jesus left His disciples, He promised them the Holy Spirit according to John 16. The Holy Spirit is present with us here as our promised counselor and comforter. We ought to reciprocate this loving kindness given to us by God, by living a holy and acceptable life to God a life void of sin. According to Hebrews 4:14-16 Jesus came in flesh to feel our pain, He was tempted as we are being tempted yet He lived a life without sin. We will not be justified nor can we dwell on the message of grace, because time is running out.

Jesus said, “Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].” Matthew 16:24 (AMP).

The Cross is a place where carnality is nailed, a place where the flesh is crucified daily, where the loved of this world and the things thereof are no more of an interest for us as people of God. The Cross before the Crown, we must run with patience this race of glory set before us. God promised a new covenant according to Jeremiah 31:31-40, where He will write His laws on the table of our hearts and He will remember our Iniquities no more. It’s a fresh start, a new and abiding promise. We do not need the blood of animals to make atonements for us anymore, we have boldness to enter the Holiest by the precious Blood of Jesus.

Jesus’s last word was “It Is Finished” John 19:30, immediately He gave up the ghost. According to Matthew 27:51, the Veil of the of the temple was rent into two from top to bottom. This signifies a new access and direct access to the Throne of Grace, Jesus bridged the wall of partition through His blood. We only need to draw closer to God and benefit from this wonderful privilege. There are no more excuses, all is settled at Calvary. We ought to lay aside every weight of guilt and flee from every form of sin, then focus only on Jesus: The Author and Finisher of Our Faith. Hebrews 12:1-2.

Christ Is Your Solid Rock, His Oath, His Covenant and His Blood is Speaking Better Things  For You.

 God bless.
