TO DELIVER HER FROM THE WAY OF THE EVIL MAN. Proverbs 2:12-15

Proverbs 2:12-15

12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

 

The evil man? Sounds strange right? Are there really evil people out there that we must avoid? A Resounding YES! To unravel this question further, let us look at a very short history of the life of the writer. They say experience is the best teacher, of course, I totally agree. It is the best teacher for the Unwise.

King Solomon was a king, a great one that started very well. In fact, one of the few people recorded in the Bible that provoked fire from heaven. He built a temple for God in Jerusalem, when he was dedicating the temple; the Glory of God filled the whole temple and the priest could not enter into the temple to minister. This is to show how well he started, but the stranger called Lust made him err a lot. Thank God for Restoration and most importantly a Repenting heart, He later traced his steps back to God. Solomon wrote the book of Proverbs out of an experience. He was the only man at that time that could give the advice about the evil man and the strange woman; because he had married just only 700 wives and 300 concubines🙈👀. After living this kind of life to the maximum he wrote the book of Proverbs.

When we talk about the evil man, what are we talking about? In the context of this post, we are for the ladies (men don’t worry next post is about the strange woman hahaha there are lots to talk about, but let us encourage our sisters and save them from the snare of the evil man so they don’t fall prey.)

Now to our beautiful sisters, what is the way of an evil man and why is it so important that Solomon had to talk about it?

The evil man is no stranger to destruction, the evil man is that unfriendly friend, the evil man is a destiny terminator. The evil man is that person that stops at nothing to bring you down. The evil man is that person that drags you into that cleverly conceal sin that you are indulging in, thinking no one will find out. The evil man is the star killer. The evil man is that in secret chapters in the book of your life that you are constantly battling with, that secret battle you can’t tell anybody about. The evil man is that man that rejoices in the evil news but turns very cold when something good is happening in the life of a sister. The evil man leaves the way of righteousness to walk in the way of darkness. The evil man is never upright, very corny, never straightforward.

As a sister, the evil man is that man that; prevents you from constantly attending church, disrupt your Bible study time and quiet time, block your communication with heaven, refuses to attend fellowship with you but will gladly drive you to a party. The evil man is that person you entered into a relationship with and your spiritual life dropped from good to bad and bad to worst.

The sad truth about the evil man is they are now inside the church. There is something strange about the evil man these days, this is why it is very difficult for our sisters to detect them. The evil man has the spirit of a chameleon, they change and can easily adapt to any situation. We will discuss the only way we can overcome the evil man subsequently.

The Bible says in Proverbs 3:13 “Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who acquires understanding.” wisdom is key; without it, we are actually living like someone who is physically blind. Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is of utmost importance, therefore get wisdom, and with all your effort work to acquire understanding.” When you read further to the book of Hosea 4:6a; the same Bible is lamenting that; “My people were cut off because they lacked wisdom.”

As a sister with great destiny and future ahead of you, to become successful you will need to avoid the evil in every ramification of life. As Christians Heaven is our Outmost Goal and a Successful Marriage is very Essential to achieving this goal. Who we get married to also influences our journey towards Heaven, and also the kind of Family we will raise. The devil understands these principles and knows when the Home is on Fire the Society is also on Fire. And most importantly, the Church at large. For this sole reason, his rage against the church of God is so much, and he has cleverly entered the church as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14.

A vast majority of ladies have boarded and are sailing in a particular Ship heading to Tarshish. For you to understand Tarshish in this context, you need to first understand the story of Prophet Jonah, one of the twelve minor Prophets of the Bible.  When God sent him to Nineveh to preach to them, he refused and boarded a ship to Tarshish. Many sisters have entered what Nigerians call “One Chance Bus” to destruction all because they encountered the evil man. The evil man is the Ship that leads to a place of destruction (Tarshish), the place where the presence of God will not go with you. Tarshish is the place where people lose their divine purpose, the stronghold, and city of the evil man. It’s a place where lives and destinies are destroyed.

Many sisters missed their divine purpose here on earth all because, they Met who they were supposed to Miss, and Missed who they were supposed to Meet. “THE PEOPLE YOU SHOULD MEET AND THE PEOPLE YOU MUST MISS”

Ladies who were meant to be great people are stranded in the marketplace of life, solely because the met the evil man on his way to Tarshish and he succeeded in convincing them. Telling them to join his ship sailing to Nineveh, when in reality is truly sailing to Tarshish😭.

Discernment is key unfortunately, many sisters lack this gift. They cannot tell, nor differentiate a person that possesses the Spirit of God from that of the devil. Christians pray for the gift of Tongues, Prophesies and lots more, but neglecting the basic of them all which is Discernments. Proverbs 2: 11 says “Discretion (Discernment) shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:🙌🏽” The lack and inability to discern has made a lot of sisters to fall into the traps of the evil man.

There are specific people personally ordained by the devil to waste the lives of sisters with a great destiny.”THE FRAGMENTED SOUL. “SEX!” & THE VALLEY OF SOREK. Judges 16:4”  A large number of this people uses gifts to blind the eyes of our sisters, knowingly or unknowingly. Of course, sisters fall prey because of greed to #SadTruth. People want material blessings but fail to understand the basic principles of Jesus on how to get wealth, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33” they are easily blinded by the things of this world and re showered by the things of the devil. The gifts you receive from the so-called brother in the church might actually be a cleverly conceal trap to cage them. Virtues are stolen away because of this trick. The devil is clever because he understands that, many sisters are now aware of his devices. He has now transformed into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14. In doing this he has sent his agents into the church of God, they are hard to detect making it difficult for people to really see their true motives. As a woman, if you cannot discern you will fall prey for every ship going to Tarshish. Like I said previously, Tarshish is the place where God is not leading you to.

In this dispensation where we belong, we cannot defeat the devil by simply relying on our own strength. The bible says “for by strength shall no man prevail. 1 Sam 2:9b.” It is not by power neither is it by might, only by the Spirit of God. As a lady, you need to pray earnestly without a season to overcome and escape from the trap of the evil man. Your only way is to surrender your life to God, only then He will guide you and keep you from the evil man.

As a sister with great destiny ahead of you, always remember that; “because a door has opened wide for you to do effective work, although many people are opposing you. 1 Corinthians 16:9.” The devil will stop at nothing to bring you down; he will send different (SHIP) counterfeits your way all leading to Tarshish all in the name of, RELATIONSHIP, FRIENDSHIP, PARTNERSHIP, Fellowship, COURTSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP and many other Ship leading to Tarshish. He will make you leave Zion for Babylon, he will cause you to forget the laws of God and His commandments. “Because the command is a lamp and the Law a light, rebukes that discipline is a way of life. Proverbs 6:23” Ladies please guild your heart with all diligence because out of it are the issues of life Proverbs 4:23. Don’t just Pray only, Watch and Pray, with Diligence. Don’t be fooled or blinded by the works of men, Try the Spirit, Test the Fruits. A good tree should bear good fruits. Do not fall prey to the sweet and enticing words of men to lead you astray.

For those in any of the Ship leading to Tarshish, you know them better yourself. Pray earnestly to God so He would intervene and trust me it will be very hard to do His will. You might be hurt and shattered in the process but;

“A Broken Heart is Better than A Broken or Destroyed Destiny!”

People mostly have good intentions, but because the devil is after Godly relationships, he tries to corrupt our brothers and possess them with the spirit of the evil. The results in many Christian relationships ending up like that of the world. The solution is constant prayer and meditation in the things of God, having a mentor who is filled with the Spirit of God to guide you and your partner in the ways of God. You that are still single, you need to pray and let God lead you Himself. Leave no unguarded place, no weaknesses in every area, take every virtue, every grace and fortify the whole.

Finally, Beautiful when you put all your Cares and Worries in His hands, He will put His Peace in your Hearts and Guild you through Life’s Processes.
