TREASURES IN EARTHEN VESSELS PART 2: ” Pressing On Despite The Hardship “

IMG_1012.JPG
In the part one series we spoke about seeing the future from the present situation. This time we are looking on how we are to press on despite the hard-times and hardships. Taking our text from 2 Corinthians 4:13-18

13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

In life you will face hard times, you will pass through the fire, afflictions will arise, adversity will knock at your door someday! it’s guaranteed. Proverbs 24:10, Isaiah 43:2. Our focus is,” what and how are we going to scale through and press forward?”
Bro Paul in Philippians 3:13-14 says he is forgetting the past and he is reaching forth for the future. This means he is not letting the present situation to tie him down or take a hold of him. He says ” I press towards the mark for the price of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” He is letting us understand that his focus and goal is for him to get that price, have that goal and fulfill that God giving destiny despite the problems he was facing at that time.

What are the things that will keep you pressing forward and from sinking ?

~ Your Faith will keep you from Fainting. Vs 13.
We have one of the Fruit of the spirit which Faith Galatians 5:22 and also the Gift of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:9. This means how equipped you are will determined response in times of difficulties.
The grace of faith is an important antidote in this perilous time. Proverbs 24:10 says ” If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” This means adversity will come. But your faith will speak for you on that day. The gift and fruit of Faith will go a long way to bear up your spirit in times of infirmities and trials. Will you encourage yourself in the lord like David or will you faint, lament or grumble like the children Of Israel?

~ The Hope of Resurrection will Keep you from Sinking! Vs 14.
My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus Blood & Righteousness; On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand!!!! All other ground will Sink!!!!
What is the Hope You Have? Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-End

The hope of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ will encourage us in our hard-times and suffering days and set us far above the fear of death. To be honest, of what reason will a True Christian have to be afraid of Death, When there’s a glorious resurrection? Christ in Me, The Hope of Glory!!! Colossians 1:27b.
Remember the apostles were threatened to be killed if they preached Christ. But they did not yield to the treats because their master Jesus Christ is Risen!!! Hallelujah😜👊😄☝️💃😛. Instead the prayed for Boldness!!!!

~ The Consideration of the Glory of God and the Benefit of the Church. Vs 15.
Your trials and sufferings is for the edifying of the body of Christ. You will not die in this situation. Christ Jesus came in flesh so He could give hope to us.
Christ in Us, The Hope of Glory!!! This means there is hope for glory in every situation we find ourselves.

~ The Renewing of your Inner Man! Vs 16.
Though your outward man is perishing, but the inner man is renewed day by day.
We as humans have both the outward man and the inner man. If the outward man perishes, there is not a problem. We should die to flesh daily. Galatians 5:16.
It’s our inner man that matters most to us.We need to feed our inner man with the words and promises of God.

~ The Prospect of Eternal life and Happiness. Vs 17.
This prospect will get you moving forward and keep you form fainting. It is the fuel and support you need during hard-times. It is this prospect of eternal life that allows us to make the right decisions and judgments.
You have to keep in mind that. Heaven is your number one Goal. It is our priority.

Finally vs 18 says ” While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

IMG_1013.JPG
The Key Word is FAITH.
We are looking at the unseen, off course it is by faith. We should have this view of our eternal world. The glory of our triumph should be our push through the hard-times.
Faith should enable us to make the right judgement of things. It is by faith we see God who is invisible Hebrews 10:27
David was in the bush, but he didn’t see the bush, instead he saw himself conquering Goliath and sitting on the throne of Israel.
Joseph was put into the prison, but he never allowed the prison to get into him. He saw himself as the prime minister of a strange land.
We need to see our glory from our present hard-times and the only way we can do this is through Faith. Our faith and hope should walk hand in hand. Faith is substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. We have to look ahead. Those promises those eternal blessing.
The Unseen things will last forever…
Let us keep the dream alive, let us hold fast our profession. God has promised, He will never fail.

Let’s all stay strong and encourage ourselves in The Lord.
God bless….

DaFruits of Joshua The Great Leader.❤️

Great article!! Read and be bless

DaFruits

I wrote this last year September but I have been prompted by The Holy Spirit to share again.
In the month of September I read the whole book of Joshua, and I praise God for the revelation!
Joshua is a powerful book and I recommend everyone to read it.
I most certainly learnt a lot and The Word most definitely blessed and encouraged me.

This Word gave me the confidence to boldly walk in the calling that God has placed over my life. The book of Joshua taught me a lot about leadership.

Joshua served Moses for a long time, and I believe that as Joshua humbly served Moses, so also did he serve God. God sees our hearts, and He loves a faithful and a humble heart.

MAN’S NEED OF REDEMPTION.

20140701-142800-52080985.jpg
What is redemption?
Redemption is the state of being freed from the power of evil.
Redemption means a New Creation in the spirit of man. It is the giving of a New Nature; a New Life to man. Man has lost God’s Nature, Fellowship and the Authority given to him and became spiritually dead which made God drove him out of the Garden of Eden so that man would not have access to the tree of life while he was spiritually dead. Now, he can no longer respond to the call of God. Their fellowship has been broken Gen 3:8-11.

Spiritual death must be absolutely destroyed in man’s life. The Nature of satan Gal 5:19-21 must be completely eradicated from man’s Nature, so that he can stand as free from satan authority as though he had never died spiritually.
Man’s need is life; God’s Nature: Gal 5:22-23 but God cannot impact His Nature to man again until He first makes it legally possible for man to be freed from the Nature of satan.
Man is utterly helpless to redeem / Free himself by his own efforts. He had obeyed satan, bringing himself under satanic subjection and was helpless because nothing could ever redeem humanity for every man was under satanic dominion. Rom 13:10-12.
A greater than satan must undertake on man’s behalf. God Himself must redeem man. The penalty of sin must be paid through one who will act as man’s substitute. Man’s sin and spiritual death must be laid upon this substitute who will pay the penalty and impact Righteousness into man thereby making him to be discharged and acquitted from his Guilt. Isa 53:3-12, Rom 6:18,22.
NOTE: We must remember that Redemption is not Forgiveness. Forgiveness alone would not bring back the Fellowship between God and man. It could not give back the Fellowship / Life that has been lost. It would mean man continually making sacrifice daily to be in Fellowship with God. Which was the condition of Israel Heb 10:3,11.
Man’s need was Redemption not forgiveness.

Week 5: God, the jealous lover

ElizabethFolakemi

People may look at the title  and think I’ve finally lost it lol but let me explain.

In the book of Exodus (34 vs 14) we see God telling the israelites not to worship any god aside from Him because He is jealous. In that day and age other gods were far from scarce and hard to find, whether they be golden calves or ashtoreth poles. Now, people think because they are not bowing their heads down to a pole or random statue that they are not arousing God’s jealous nature. Wrong! So many times we idolise man made things (phones, social media etc) and allow them to take presidence over reverence to God (i.e. texting/whatsapping in church). At times we even worship mere humans like ourselves. We must stop this. God must be above all things. Seldom would we interupt a conversation with friends for something insignificant so why…

Segni e miracoli ancora accadono! Se avete bisogno di un miracolo oggi, non guardare le circostanze che state affrontando. Guardate a Gesù, perché nulla è impossibile quando versi la tua fiducia in lui.

Your Heart & Your Thoughts Determines The Life You Live. Proverbs 4:20-27.

Image

The Bible has warned us not to do evil, in this same verse teaches us how to do well. It is not sufficient only to avoid the occasion of sinning but we should study the methods of avoiding them.

1. We must have a continual regard to the word of God and endeavor that it may be always ready to us.
Wisdom & understanding must be our principle guide & teacher. Proverbs 4:7.
We must receive them readily: ” incline thy ear to them, humbly bow to them; diligently listen to them.”
The attentive hearing of the word of God is a good sign of a work of grace begun in the heart and a good means of carrying it on.
We must retain them carefully and lay them before us as ” Our Rule.”
” Let them not depart from thy eyes; view them, review them and in everything aim to conform to them.” We must lodge them within us as a commanding principle, the influences of which are diffused throughout the whole man: ” keep them in the midst of thy heart, as things dear to thee, and which thou art afraid of losing.”
Let the word of God be written in the heart, and that which is written there will remain.
– The reason why we must thus make much of the words of wisdom is because they will both food and physic to us, like the tree of life, Rev. 22:2; Eze 47:12. Those that seek and find them, find and keep them, shall find in them.

2. We must keep a watchful eye and a strict hand upon all the motions of our inward man Proverbs 4:23 is a great duty required by wisdom, and in order to our getting and preserving wisdom: keep thy heart with all diligence. God, who gave us these souls, gave us a strict charge with them: Man, Woman, keep thy heart; take heed to thy spirit. Deu 4:9. We must maintain a holy jealousy of ourselves, and set a strict guard, accordingly, upon all avenues of the soul; keep our heart from doing hurt and getting hurt, from being defiled by sin and disturbed by trouble; keep them as our jewel, as our vineyard; keep a conscience void of offense; keep our bad thoughts; keep up good thoughts: keep the affections upon right objects and things.
There are many ways of keeping things- by care, by strength, by calling in help, and we must use them all in keeping our hearts.
– We must also keep our eyes (Job 31:1a); Our tongues (Psalm 34:13); keep our feet (Eccl 5:1); but above all,” Our Hearts.” A good reason is that ” Out of it are the Issues of Life.” Out of a heart well kept will flow living issues, good product to the glory of God.

3. We must set a watch before the door of our lips, that we offend not with our tongue Pro 4:24: ” Put away from Thee froward mouth and perverse lips

4. We must make a covenant with our eyes: ” Let them look right on and straight before thee, Proverbs 4:25. Let the eye be fixed and not wandering; let it not robe after everything that presents itself, for then it will be diverted from good and ensnared in evil. Turn it from beholding vanity; let thy eye be single and not divided; let thy intention be sincere and uniform.”
We must keep our eye upon our Master, keep our eye upon our rule, and conform to that; We must keep our eye upon our mark, ” the price of the calling ” Phil 2:14.

5. We must act considerately in all we do Proverbs 4:26: ponder the path of thy feet, weigh it; ” put the word of God in on scale, and what thou has done, or art about to do, in order, see how thy agree; be nice and critical in examining whether thy way be good before The Lord and whether it will end well.”
We must consider our past ways and examine what we have done, and our present ways, what we are doing, and see that we walk circumspectly. ( with cautions ).
We must act with steadiness, cautions, and consistency: ” Let all thy ways be established Proverbs 4:26 and be not unstable in them, as the double-minded man is. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy feet from Evil.

Conclusion:
Many people dream of sin, imagine sin, and—if granted the opportunity—would indulge in sin. All they lack is the occasion to sin. So, in the sight of God, they are sinners as great as though they actually had committed immorality. All transgressions begin with sinful thinking.

You who have come to Christ for a pure heart, guard against the pictures of lewdness and sensuality which Satan flashes upon the screen of your imagination, select with care the books you read, choose discerningly the kind of entertainment you attend, the kind of associates with whom you mingle, and the kind of environment in which you place yourself. You should no more allow sinful imaginations to accumulate in your mind and soul than you would let garbage collect in your living room.
