TREASURES IN EARTHEN VESSELS PART 1: ” Seeing the future from the present situations “

IMG_1004-0.JPG
The tortures of Christians by other religions or by certain groups did not start today. If you read books like ” Foxes Book Of Martyrs” or ” Tortured For Christ” you will agree with me that it has started since the beginning of the creature. Even the bible recorded detailed sufferings of the apostles after the death of our Lord. The amazing thing about the Bible and Christianity is that, it is still standing through the test of time.
Every true believer of God will face persecution at on point in time or the other. Off course it differs, but how we overcome is a proof of how well we have been preparing and how strong is our faith in God.
Isis is committing their own atrocities all in the name of religion. Despite all, some Christians in Iraq and Syria still refuses to let go of Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!!!
It makes me understand Phil 1:21 when Bro Paul said ” For to me to live is Christ and to die is Gain!!” Wow

I have come to a point in my walk with God, that if He likes let Him bless me, if He likes let Him not bless me, but No Turning Back… ” The World behind me, The Cross Before Me!” I’ve come this far by Faith!! Trust me, HE HAS NEVER FAILED ME!!!
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him Psalm 34:8
To walk with God there is a cross you must bare. Friends will let you down, family will let you down. Everything you so much put your trust in will let you down. But Jesus Never Fails.
We were not promised a smooth journey; but we have the guarantee of a safe arrival to our destination in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

When we read this text, it tells us about the Courage & Hope in all of life’s situations and predicaments.
It makes us understand the will and passion of the apostles towards the propagation of the gospel of Christ. Notwithstanding the challenges they encountered. They ” pressed towards the mark for the price of the high calling of God, through Christ Jesus.”

Our Sufferings & Patients.
2 Corinthians 4:8-12
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

When our Lord Jesus Christ was leaving earth, He told us that we will have tribulations and trials. But He said ” Be of good cheer for I have overcome the world!” John16:33.
It means as humans we will have different challenges, it is guaranteed. Our approach towards the ups and down of life tells of how well we have been equipped.

~ We are “Troubled on every side, afflicted from different angles and in many ways” yet not Distressed. It means we are not free from any side, we are confronted always in cause of pursuing/doing the right thing. But notice one unique thing! We are not DISTRESSED. Don’t allow your situations or problems to weigh you down. Continue without looking back. The cross should be your focus, priority and your purpose.
We should have this same mind set of the apostles, We should not give up because we can see help in God.

~ We are ” Perplexed often uncertain and in doubts, of what will become of our future” but remember Jeremiah 29:11. His thoughts towards us are for good and not for evil, we will have an expected end.
Philippians 1:6 says ” we are confident of this one thing, that God which have begun the good work in us will perfect it for us.”
In all these things the Bible says ” But we are not in Despair!” Even in our greatest perplexities knowing that God is able to support us and deliver us as He has promised. We should always place our trust and hope on Him.

~ We are ” Persecuted by men”, pursued with hatred from place to place. ” Yet not forsake of God.” People may be forsaken as well been persecuted by the trials and circumstances of life. But the Bible assures us in Hebrews 13:5b that, ” He will never leave us nor forsake us!”

~ We are “Cast down and rejected ” They may in a great measure prevail, and our spirit begin to fail us. There may be fear within as well as fighting without. ” Yet we are not Destroyed!!”

We need not to have self pity. It’s not going to work at this end time. We have to encourage ourselves in The Lord like David. We need to have the mind set of Joseph, the persevering spirit of Daniel.
We should not comfort ourselves with our hardships and problem. We have to take every trials and temptation to The Lord in prayer. Just as the disciples did in the book of Acts of Apostles 4:1-34. They prayed for boldness to continue in God’s work.
The ends will always justify the means, it doesn’t matter how long it takes.
Psalm 37:37 say” mark the good man and behold the upright, for the end of that man is peace”
We need God’s grace, and I tell you it is more than sufficient for us.
Every hard times, trials and temptation that comes our way is a stepping stone to a new level. God will never allow what is greater than us to come our way. We can handle every hard times and bad situation. We just need to be prepared by dwelling in the word of God.
We will triumph and have a glorious victory.
Let’s all stay strong and encourage ourselves in The Lord.
God bless….
